Hi! I’m Lauren Coleman,

Registered Nutritionist and personal trainer (RNutr, NZNS), I could also be your new wellness BFF.

I’m a science nerd but I also care a lot about equality issues around health, body positivity, mental health, and debunking the amount of BS that floats around in the ‘wellness’ space.

Basically, I’m tired of how awful the advice that’s supposed to be making us feel better often is.

Instead, let’s work together on identifying where your beliefs about fitness, nutrition, health and well-being actually come from, set new goals together that align with your values and track your progress using tangible metrics that reflect your health and your happiness - not just your body size.

When you realise that you are so much more than your body, yet your body is still so completely you, the appreciation you will have for yourself extends beyond body image and incorporates every facet of your being. It will radicalise the meaning of self care for you in a way that it no longer seems like indulgence but necessity, and never out of reach.

I’ve been coaching people for over 6 years to improve their health and fitness.

Here’s what I believe people really need:

Aligning positive behaviour changes to a greater vision

Being motivated to exercise and eat better starts with wanting to be there for the moments that really matter in your life, expanding your creative potential and participating more wholly in everything that you do.

Trackable metrics that actually mean something

Consistency happens when we can see that we’re getting results from what we are doing, without the process requiring sacrifice of more than we we can maintain physically or mentally. Metrics can be qualitative or quantitative, e.g. ‘how would you describe your mindset around food currently?’ OR ‘let’s examine your blood tests from 6 months ago compared with today.’ Whatever we track is determined around whatever is most important to you at this moment in your journey.

Rebuilding trust and confidence in your body

Strength training might be my number one suggestion for ANYBODY to feel more like a badass and ultimately, more proud and in awe of what their body can do. But more importantly a mindful approach to living - whether that’s eating, exercise, socialising or however else you spend your time - teaches us to trust the signals that our body is saying (sometimes even screaming) to us, and ultimately help to guide us to reclaim lives that feel balanced, wholesome and fulfilling.
